Paint, Coupons, Turkey, & More...

Alright so we are def moved in now. We still had our apartment until the 21st so we still had some random stuff there but we officially are out of there and eagerly waiting for our deposit to come in the mail! :) The People before us had a HUGE dog and a cat (kevin is allergic & i think dylan is too) So after we got the carpets cleaned Dyls room still smelled so Mike came back and re cleaned them and then kevin and i had the "brilliant" idea to paint the room since everything was already moved out. After all it would only take like a day.... NOT The pictures are from over a week span. Although i wish the blue had been a tiny tiny bit darker we both really like it. :) But man... those stripes, cursed stripes, who's smart idea was it to paint stripes!!!????? ;)
Even painting on his bday... im mean ;)

we also did the little wall right when the door opens

As those of you who are reading this know, i LOVE coupons. So this year was the 1st time that i had ever couponed on thanksgiving or black friday sales of any kind. I went out bright and early (6:45) thanksgiving morning and scored at CVS! Then got donuts, went home woke up the gang, hung out and went back out to Walgreens where i ran into Karen & Kristin who got me a yummy Starbucks! (Thanks guys!) Then went home finished up our part of thanksgiving and headed over to Kristin & Greg's. It was delicious and tons of fun we played Pictionary and the girls won (again, surprise surprise lol) Then we headed over to my parents and got to eat MORE yummy food & my moms delicious pumpkin pie & See's candy of course!
  Kristin, Megan, & Cole

<--> Walgreens trip, (not pictured a nerf gun for dylan & some lady items ;) )  33.89$ saved 134.94 got 3 free movie rentals and this time no RR because i rolled them over on the excess amount of paper towels & t.p. (which we desperately needed) - 3 pain relievers, 2 fusion face washes, toothapaste, venus razor, 2 packages of hairbands, 2 bottles of sparkling grape, 18 rolls of paper towels, 6 laundry detergents, 6 wrapping papers, t.p.

<-Cvs run came out to be 13.13$ Saved 57.16 and got back 23.06 in ECB so basically made 9.03! (I will prob use those ECB to get colored ink this week, all my coupons have been printing missing crucial information, luckily for me i haven't had a problem with any clerks)

Friday morning we headed out bright and early to see if we could find a dryer on "black friday" no luck, but did get to go to bath and body works we needed hand soap & i had a coupon for spend 10$ get a free item up to 13. (i love the "stress relief aromatherapy" stuff and even more when its FREE) Then we had time to kill before we headed up to lowes to pick up our washers "feet" which somehow got not delivered with it. So we headed to Joanns with Nicole & Kristin who were very crazy and had been out all night shopping. We also went back today and got tons of stuff for the house and for christmas presents :)
I got baskets at Joanns for my baking & cooking spices. 6$ (down from 20) & got a big basket  w/liner for my potoates, onions, garlic, and ginger for 6.56 (down from 25)
Picture of part of my coupon stockpile, kevin even made labels for everything & my stockpile in the garage :D

We bought these lamps also today, 20$ off with another 10$ coupon!

Some random pictures....
I started journaling last night, i wish i would've started when Dyl was born, He says the funniest things and i know we have already forgotten SO many. Lucky for me it wasn't TOO many since he didn't talk for so long, but i am determined to keep track of as much as i can :)

Kevin showing dylan my new herbs for my herb garden (thanks mom!!) and then using his new birthday lawnmower my parents got him :)

Glad that's OVER!

We had a VERY busy weekend, we moved into our house! (that feels so weird to type!)
We had an amazing crew of hard workers! My best friend came over and helped load boxes all morning on friday before she went to work and Dane and my dad were machines and helped all weekend, My amazing mother watched the boys so i could help out and then my BIL (brother-in-law) came with his work truck and helped us get all the really heavy stuff friday afternoon. We started friday morning around 9:30 and my dad and brother left to go home around 7:30 i think?
Saturday my family came over again but this time it was helping with unloading, unpacking... my dad made us a shelf and gave us curb appeal my mowing and edging the lawn (we don't think it had ever been edged) and he also built the bunk-beds (he had to cut all the metal pieces) Anyway he was a beast. My brother watched the boys and my mom was amazing and helped me unpack the kitchen and saved me from having a major panic attack when i didnt' know where to put things. My SIL came over in the afternoon and helped me color code and unpack all my clothes and then helped organize dylans and logans stuff. I feel like we did SO much stuff but when we look around we still have TONS of stuff to unpack.... *sigh*
Today we CLEANED AND CLEANED AND CLEANED our apartment out. Everyone i have talked to that has moved out has said that they have kept almost ALL of their deposit and i do NOT want that happening to me, so we did a superb job i must say and tomorrow i'm going to go take pictures and have the "pre walk through" where they tell you what is wrong with it and how much they charge to fix it if you dont fix it yourself, so we will see how that goes. I haven't taken any photos with our stuff in but i do have a couple pictures of the things we did to the house before we actually moved into it. :)
we got this desk BRAND new for 35$ at habitat for humanity!

but someone does love his built work bench

our super cool fridge!

picked up one of these for 15$ :)

it has a super fun touch screen with all sorts of controls. one of my favs is the control of water. so i can set it at 1/3 cup and it wont fill up past that so i dont have to worry about dylan spilling all over the wood floors!

Heeeeerrreee We GO!!!

So my lovely cousin megan (& bff becky) have been asking me to start a blog up and I think that I have discovered the perfect reason to start one! WE BOUGHT A HOUSE!
We are actually moving in tomorrow morning & I am waiting for Logan to fall back asleep so I can finish packing. Anyway I wanted to start this blog so I could post pictures of our new home, fun projects for the house that i find off my FAVORITE website, PINTEREST and our new life in a more private setting then my facebook page.
All of my pictures of the empty house are on my camera still but here are a couple previews from one of our times walking through the house before we bought it. :)
our 1st home!

master bathroom

downstairs 1/2 bathroom

part of the backyard, Dylan is SO excited!

one of my favorite parts of the house a beautiful custom patio, it has surround sound and a place for a tv, a light & ceiling fan that you can use if it's hot! :)

Well that is it for now, Logan is finally back asleep & I need to get at least SOMETHING done before kevin gets home from work. ;)
